Chillicothe, Ohio-based Mojo Rising Basketball, a youth organization has reached an important milestone with the announcement of its first commitment to the 2035 roster, adding highly regarded young guard Casen Badger to the program.
The commitment reflects the organization’s vision of building from the ground up with players who combine basketball intelligence, leadership, and a team-first mindset.
A playmaking guard from Chillicothe City Schools in the Class of 2035, Casen has already developed a strong feel for the game.
He plays with an advanced understanding of pace and spacing, consistently making smart decisions that benefit the entire group.
Rather than chasing individual statistics, Casen focuses on moving the ball, creating opportunities for teammates, and controlling possessions with poise beyond his years.
Coaches describe Casen as a guard who can be trusted on the floor. His ability to read defenses, communicate effectively, and make the extra pass allows offenses to flow smoothly.
He brings competitiveness and composure in equal measure, traits that make him a reliable presence during key moments of the game.
His impact is often felt in subtle but meaningful ways that contribute directly to winning basketball.
Casen’s development is rooted in a strong family foundation in athletics. His father, JR Badger, is a longtime youth basketball and football coach who introduced his sons to sports at a very young age.
Through consistent guidance, discipline, and an emphasis on fundamentals, JR helped shape both Casen and his older brother, Cameron, into well-rounded athletes with a deep understanding of team sports.
That influence is evident in the success of Casen’s older brother, Cameron Badger, a standout multi-sport athlete at Chillicothe High School.
A 2026 graduate, Cameron competed in varsity basketball as a forward wearing #23 and in varsity football as a quarterback and strong safety (#5).
During his high school career, he played a key role in multiple team victories and earned respect for his leadership, toughness, and versatility.
Growing up alongside a varsity athlete gave Casen valuable exposure to the demands of competitive sports. Combined with his father’s coaching influence, it helped instill a strong work ethic, discipline, and maturity that are already evident in his approach to the game.
Those qualities align closely with the culture Mojo Rising Basketball aims to establish as it continues to expand.
For the program, this commitment represents more than just adding talent to a roster.
Mojo Rising Basketball took to their official social media to praise their player Casen, and wrote:
“Casen is a guard who knows how to play the game at a high level. He has a strong feel for pace, spacing, and decision-making, and consistently puts his teammates in the right spots. Whether he’s creating off the dribble, moving the ball, or making the extra pass, Casen impacts winning in ways that don’t always show up on the stat sheet.”
It signals the beginning of a long-term vision centered on player development, accountability, and unselfish basketball.
Casen’s skill set, mindset, and background make him an ideal foundational piece as the 2035 group begins to take shape.
As Mojo Rising Basketball looks ahead, the organization views Casen as a guard capable of leading by example, competing at a high level, and setting the standard for future additions. With his basketball IQ and steady presence, he is well positioned to play a meaningful role in the program’s growth in the years to come.
