Max Brosmer, an American professional football quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, credits his athletic success to his parents and brother, Fish Brosmer.

The Brosmer family gathers at the dinner table and consults each other whenever they have to make any important decision.

Thomas Maxwell Brosmer, the son of Colin and Jayna Brosmer, was born on March 28, 2001, in Davenport, Iowa. His parents raised him in a close-knit family alongside his brother, Fish Brosmer.

Colin was a former club volleyball player at Ohio State University and has nearly 20 years of experience in the corporate world. He has been serving as president of Metra North America since October 2026.

Meanwhile, Jayna holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio State University and is a registered nurse at Fulton County Schools.

She faced a major challenge when her cancer diagnosis came in February 2026, just as Max was transferring to the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

I never thought my mom would call me and say, ‘I have breast cancer.’ You know, cancer is unfortunately such a common disease, we see it so much, but you never think it’s going to be your family affected.

Fish Brosmer is the Talented Musician Behind the Quarterback

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Max Brosmer shares a close bond with his younger brother, Fish Brosmer.

While the quarterback commands attention on the football field, his younger brother, Fish Brosmer, is making his own mark in the world of music.

Fish graduated from Centennial High School and is a dedicated trumpet performance major at Georgia State University.

He is a versatile instrumentalist, mastering not only the trumpet but also the piccolo trumpet, flugelhorn, and cornet. His musical expertise spans several demanding disciplines, including chamber music, opera repertoire, solo performances, and symphonic works.

Fish’s musical talent has opened doors to elite opportunities.

In 2026, he was selected to attend the prestigious National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute (NSOsmi) in Washington, D.C. Similarly, he showcased his skill performing with the University of Minnesota marching band in 2026.

One of my favorite highlights was the side-by-side rehearsal with the NSO. We had the opportunity to sit next to musicians who we aspire to be. They played with us and allowed us to play on our own so we could learn in a real orchestra experience.

Fish Brosmer

Max and Fish Brosmer are at different stages in their lives, but they exemplify a shared dedication to excellence in their respective crafts.

The Vikings quarterback leads a huddle, whereas the younger brother leads a brass section. They proved that talent in the Brosmer family comes in many forms.

Fish Brosmer often shares his elder brother’s achievements on social media.
