Luther Burden III, an American professional football wide receiver and kickoff returner for the Chicago Bears of the NFL, is making his parents and sisters proud with his rising career.

Luther Burden III was born on December 12, 2003, in St. Louis, Missouri, as the second youngest of 10 children to parents Luther Burden Jr. and Gaye Union.

He is the third-generation athlete in his family, following in the footsteps of his father, Luther Burden Jr., and his late grandfather, Luther Burden.

Luther III’s father, Luther Burden Jr., is a former collegiate basketball star playing for the Saint Louis University men’s basketball team.

Similarly, his late grandfather, Luther Dean ‘Ticky’ Burden, was an American professional basketball player who played for the New York Knicks of the NBA and the Virginia Squires of the ABA.

Furthermore, Luther Burden III is also a proud brother of nine sisters; he is blessed with eight elder sisters and a younger sister.

Although, like Luther Burden III, his nine sisters didn’t pursue their careers in sports following the family’s legacy, they proudly share his achievements on social media, expressing their love and pride for their only brother.

Luther Burden III’s Sisters Are Thriving in Their Respective Careers

Unlike Luther Burden III, his nine sisters prefer to maintain a low profile and haven’t shared much about their professional and personal lives; however, they are excelling in their respective careers.

Luther’s elder sister, Cee Angelique, and Brittney Thompson are thriving in their career as hairstylists with expertise in braiding.

Similarly, his other elder sister, Ashleigh Burden, graduated from Jackson State University in 2016 and has been serving as a teacher at Epstein Hebrew Academy in Jackson, Mississippi, since 2026.

His younger sister and the youngest among the ten siblings, Robin Burden, followed in her sisters Cee and Brittney’s footsteps in hair designing and braiding.

Robin graduated from Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School in 2026 and is currently pursuing her Business Administration and Management degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia, from which she will graduate in 2029.

Very little information about his other elder sisters, including Dee Yvette and Angel Bee, is available, as they prefer to maintain a low profile.
