St. Cloud, Minnesota Flag Football Star Pa Ja Lee Diagnosed with Breast Cancer, Community Comes Together to Rally Behind Her in Support

St. Cloud, Minnesota, resident and standout athlete Pa Ja Lee is courageously fighting her battle against cancer.

According to her sister, Vue Lee, Pa Ja Lee was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer in November 2026 and has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

Despite her battle with cancer and the harsh treatments, Pa Ja has remained positive and continues to fight bravely.

Pa Ja Lee has touched the lives of many in St. Cloud with her kind and cheerful nature and her exceptional journey as a flag football player.

She is a proud member of the Reign Hmong Women’s Flag Football Team in St. Cloud and won several honorable titles with her amazing football skills.

Furthermore, during this challenging time, the St. Cloud, Minnesota community has rallied together to support Pa Ja Lee both emotionally and financially.

Pa Ja’s sister, Vue Lee, has created a GoFundMe to help cover expenses, including medical treatment, loss of income, medications, and other related expenses, and has requested people to donate any amount to support Pa Ja Lee.

Vue also took to her social media to express her love and respect for her sister Pa Ja Lee and wrote:

“If you know Pa Ja, you’ll know she is one of the most positive, caring, kind, and considerate people. When I first heard the news, my heart broke, but Pa Ja’s positivity has been so infectious to everyone around her that we are all standing in awe of her resilience during such a difficult time. She has always been that way all her life, seeing the good in any and every situation. All her life she has put people ahead of her, and now it’s our turn to show up for her.”

Pa Ja Lee is a Proud Alumna of St. Cloud State University

Pa Ja Lee is a proud graduate of St. Cloud State University-Herberger Business School. She earned her BASc. Business Administration and Management degree in 2026.

While at college, Pa Ja involved herself in several activities. She was the events coordinator for the Asian Students in Action (ASIA Organization) and also organized and volunteer social events like My Starving Children and many more.

Pa Ja Lee also earned her Associate of Arts from Saint Paul College-A Community and Technical College in 2018, and since 2026, she has been serving as a team lead at Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union.

Prior to Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, Pa Ja served as a customer service support team at Capital One and target tech at MarketSource Inc.

Similarly, Pa Ja began her career with Mosaic North America in St. Cloud in 2016, where she served as a Samsung Experience Consultant for a year.

Besides her thriving career, Pa Ja Lee is a devoted wife to her loving husband, Ryan Thao, who has been her constant supporter through all her good and bad times.

With the support of the St. Cloud community and her loving family, Pa Ja Lee is determined to bravely fight and overcome cancer. The entire St. Cloud community is praying for her speedy recovery.
