Offensive Line Coach Mike Devlin Wife Julie Stands by Him After Chargers Firing Following Playoff Loss

American former professional football player and coach, Mike Devlin, and his wife Julie, share two sons, two daughters, and one granddaughter.

On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, offensive line coach Mike Devlin, along wth offensive coordinator Greg Roman, was fired by the Chargers, one day after the Chargers’ offensive line allowed six sacks in the 16-3 Wild Card Round loss to the New England Patriots.

The Chargers’ offense has struggled under Roman in the postseason since he became the team’s offensive coordinator in 2026.

They were held to three points in their loss to the New England Patriots in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

In the Chargers’ playoff games the last two seasons, they scored one touchdown on 22 possessions, with both games ending in wild-card losses.

After the Patriots game, head coach Jim Harbaugh was noncommittal about bringing back Roman next season.

Patriots linebacker Robert Spillane indicated that the Chargers might have been underprepared. He said,

Mike Devlin Have Created Several Charitable Endeavors With His Wife

Offensive line coach Mike Devlin was married to Julie. However, their wedding date has not been mentioned yet.

Julie always supports Mike in achieving his personal and professional dreams.

However, Julie has stayed away from social media highlights, so little is known about her personal life.

They have created several charitable endeavors, including The Devlin Football Camp, The John S. Devlin Golf Tournament, and Devlin’s Helping Hands.

Currently, Julie is standing in support with her husband, as Mike has been fired by the Los Angeles Chargers.

Mike Devlin and his wife, Julie, were blessed with two sons, Zachary and Matthew, and two daughters, Hallie and Carlie Devlin.

They have kept their children away from the media, so only limited information is available.

The couple also has one granddaughter, Isla Kate.

• Mike Devlin attended Cherokee High School in the Marlton section of Evesham Township, New Jersey, and was a letterman in football.
• Devlin was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the fifth round of the 1003 NFL draft after playing college football as an interior lineman with the Iowa Hawkeyes.
• He left the Jets to accept the same position with the Houston Texans on January 9, 2015, to coach the offensive line under Bill O’Brien. Devlin was let go after the 2026 season.
