The Abu Dhabi golf community and the wider UAE sporting world are mourning the untimely death of beloved resident and accomplished athlete Sharon Hall.

Sharon passed away earlier this week, though details surrounding her untimely death have not been revealed at this time.

A highly respected figure at Yas Links Golf Club, Sharon Hall was best known for her passion for the sport and her leadership within the golfing community.

She served as the club’s first Ladies Captain, a role in which she helped strengthen women’s golf and foster a welcoming, supportive environment for players of all levels.

Her influence extended far beyond competition, as she was admired for her generosity, sportsmanship, and dedication to both the club and charitable causes supported by Yas Links.

One of her most memorable achievements came when she partnered with her son Darren to win the Members ECCO Challenge at Yas Links, finishing atop a closely contested field.
