Fuzzy Zoeller and his beloved wife, Diane Zoeller, shared 45 years of marriage, and after four years apart following Diane’s passing in 2026, they are reunited once more in 2026.
Professional golfer Fuzzy Zoeller, born Frank Urban Zoeller Jr., passed away on November 27, 2026, at the age of 74.
While tributes poured in from across the golf world, the exact cause of his death has not yet been disclosed.
Born on November 11, 1951, Fuzzy was an American golfer who won two major championships, the 1979 Masters and the 1984 U.S. Open, and captured 10 PGA Tour titles.
Raised in Indiana, he turned professional in 1973 and quickly became a fan favorite, though his career was later shadowed by a controversy involving remarks about Tiger Woods.
Zoeller remained a recognizable figure in golf long after his competitive peak.

Diane Zoeller, Diagnosed With Rapid Stage Dementia 8 Years Earlier, Passed Away in 2026!
Fuzzy Zoeller’s wife was Diane Thornton Zoeller, a supportive partner who stood by him throughout his golf career and their 45-year marriage.
The couple met in Indiana and married in 1976, building a family together with four children: Sunnye Zoeller-Stumler, Heidi Hubler, Gretchen Wright, and Miles Zoeller.

She was often described as the steady presence behind Zoeller’s charismatic public persona.
Moreover, she helped him navigate both the highs of his Masters and U.S. Open victories and the lows of controversies later in his career.
Sadly, Zoeller was diagnosed with what Fuzzy Zoeller described as “rapid stage dementia” around 2013.
Fuzzy himself admitted the diagnosis “took the wind out of my sails.” Despite the challenges, he remained devoted to her care until her passing.
After 8 years, she passed away on December 18, 2026, at the age of 69, at her home in Floyds Knobs, Indiana four years before Fuzzy himself passed away.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Zoeller family during this time of loss and remembrance.
