Varsity football player Jordan Jerome Jeffery, of Puerto Rican and African American descent, passed away untimely in a tragic motorcycle crash on October 16, 2026, at the age of 18.

Sadly, his passing came just 2 months before he would’ve turned 19.

The heartbreaking accident reportedly took place on Interstate 294 in Franklin Park, Illinois, just after 2:30 p.m., west of Wolfe Road.

According to the Illinois State Police, the young motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries in a collision involving a Mercedes Sprinter van and a freightliner truck-tractor.

Jordan was riding his Kawasaki motorcycle and moving between cars on the road. He then lost control and hit the back of a Mercedes Sprinter van.

The crash threw him off his motorcycle onto the road, where a truck hit him.

Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Jordan succumbed to the injuries sustained in the heartwrenching crash.

Jordan is survived by his mother, Johanna L. Rivera; his stepfather, Edward Torres; and his siblings, Jazlin McPherson, Angel L. Rivera, and Joel L. McPherson.

His brother, Jazlin, took to his Facebook to share the exclusive news of his passing.
