NBA star Corey Kispert was born into an athletic family, as his father, mother, and siblings were all active athletes.
His parents both played college sports at Seattle Pacific University. Hence, being born into a family where sports were just a natural part of everyday life, it was obvious for Corey, his brother, and his twin sister to get inclined towards sports.
Corey’s elder brother, Calvin Kispert, played basketball at the King’s High School basketball team during his time there as a senior forward.
He was part of the group that pulled off an incredible state championship win in 2015, especially after the team went through a terrifying bus crash earlier in the season.
Calvin scored key points in some of those big games, showing he could step up when it mattered most for the Knights.
After high school, he didn’t pursue basketball at the college level the way his younger brother did.
Instead, Calvin headed to Seattle Pacific University, the same school their parents attended, and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering back in 2019.

He’s stayed connected to the family roots in the Pacific Northwest, keeping things steady and professional while Corey went on to Gonzaga and the NBA.
Speaking of his personal life, Calvin walked down the aisle with Annie on October 12, 2019.
Corey’s Twin Sister, Casey, Was a Standout Collegiate Volleyball Player!
Casey was a standout in volleyball at King’s High School, earning first-team all-conference honors a couple of times and serving as a team captain during her varsity years.
After high school, she headed off to play college volleyball as a setter, first spending a bit of time at Seattle Pacific University as her mom had done years earlier.
Then she transferred and continued her career at Northwest Nazarene University, where she kept contributing on the court while also studying marketing and graphic design.

Talking about her personal life, Casey married Jaylen Fox, a former basketball player at Northwest Nazarene University, on August 16, 2026.
It appears she met Jaylen during her time at the Northwest Nazarene University.
In Case You Didn’t Know
- Corey’s father, Craig Kispert, played Division II basketball for the Falcons from around 1984 to 1988. He recorded more than 1,200 career points over those four years, which made him one of the program’s solid scorers from that era.
- His mother, Deri Kispert, was one of the original players when Seattle Pacific added women’s volleyball in 1986. She played as a setter for four seasons and finished with 3,783 career assists, which still ranks second all-time in the program’s history.
