Football isn’t just a game, but an outlet for Paris High School standout Dexter Leverett Jr.
He stands 5’11” and weighs 186lbs.
The Class of 2026 star defines his style of play as aggressive.
I would describe my style of play as being aggressive because football is the only sport where you can hit someone and not get in any trouble unless it is illegal, of course.
Dexter Leverett Jr.His controlled aggression has fueled memorable performances, like his dominant 18-tackle game against Nicholas County.
He lines up at running back, but likes to come downhill a lot as a linebacker.
His high school journey has been shaped by big moments. His team’s win against Sayre meant the most, whereas a loss against Raceland stung him the most.
Through it all, he learned to trust your coach.
The biggest lesson from playing high school football is definitely learning to trust your coach. Coach Dane and McPeek always told us to trust each other and the coaches because, without trust, a football team can’t really function.
Dexter Leverett Jr.Furthermore, Dexter prides himself on being the teammate who keeps spirits high during tough times.
His recruiting process is moving quickly, and he has been in contact with several schools, including the University of Pikeville, Ottawa University, and Christian Community College.
A college coach should recruit him because he is a passionate football athlete with a drive for excellence and teamwork. He always pushes his limit, helping teammates and inspiring others.
