The sources confirmed that Neumann University’s lacrosse player Sam Nice has passed away.
Sam Nice was a dedicated student-athlete who played men’s lacrosse at Neumann University, where he wore jersey number 12.
A native of Schwenkville, Pennsylvania, he attended Perkiomen Valley High School before continuing his academic and athletic journey at the collegiate level.
Known for his determination and team-first mindset, Nice contributed as both a midfielder early in his career and later transitioned into a defensive role.
Standing at 5 feet 8 inches and weighing 145 pounds, he brought energy, discipline, and consistency to the field.
During his time with the team, he recorded 20 career goals, 16 assists, and 36 total points, along with 77 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.
In 2026, he earned Atlantic East All-Academic honors, reflecting his commitment not only to athletics but also to his studies.

Sources claimed that lacrosse player Sam Nice passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, after a battle with a Glioblastoma, a rare Brain Cancer that he was diagnosed with almost 2 years ago.
Neumann University Men’s Lacrosse team took to their official Facebook handle to announce the tragic news.
We are heartbroken to share the passing of a former member & teammate of our Neumann Men’s Lacrosse family, #12 Sam Nice.
He was not only an exceptional athlete on the field, but also such an outstanding individual off of it. His kindness, positivity, and passion for not only the game of lacrosse, but for those around him as well, left such a strong and lasting impact during his time at Neumann. He embodied what it truly means to be part of this program, and his legacy will continue to live on through the memories he created and the lives he touched.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, teammates, and all who knew and loved him. RIP #12 💙💛🪽

My heart is so sorrowful for the Nice family. Our very first Lacrosse season was Sam’s senior year. What a leader and a warrior on the field he was and what an honor it was to watch him play. I pray for God’s grace and comfort on the Nice family.
Randi Robinson McCueMoreover, Noah Shine, of Schenksville, PA, organized the fundraising campaign on GoFundMe to help Sam’s family with medical bills.
The campaign aims to collect over $24k, and it has collected around $20,067.
Other close ones and relatives have also offered their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Sam’s family to stay strong in this difficult time.
He will always be remembered for his unforgettable contributions as a lacrosse player.
