The D’Iberville, Mississippi, community is mourning the untimely death of beloved native and soccer star, Landon Perry.

Landon Perry passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2026, at an untimely age of 18, leaving his family, friends, and loved ones devastated.

While his family hasn’t revealed the actual cause of his untimely death, according to some reports, Landon Perry died in a tragic car accident.

Born on January 24, 2007, in Wiggins, Mississippi, Landon Perry touched the lives of many with his amazing athletic skills and his cheerful nature.

Landon Perry, a dedicated soccer player from D’Iberville High School in Mississippi and a member of the Class of 2026, was a standout on his varsity team throughout his career.

Standing at 5’9″ and wearing jersey #1, Landon played primarily as a defender in his senior year, contributing to the team’s 8-7-1 record and helping them achieve a #31 state ranking and #508 national ranking.

A talented defender, Perry played a key role for D’Iberville’s team, which made it to the national tournament.

As a junior, Perry earned the honor of playing in the Mississippi Coast All-Star Game under Coach Lane Thibodeaux, showcasing his talent among the region’s best.

Throughout his high school career, he demonstrated versatility, also playing in midfield during his junior and freshman seasons, while consistently showing commitment and passion for the game.

Late Landon Perry Was Continuing His Athletic Career at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College

After a remarkable journey at D’Iberville High School, the late Landon Perry began his athletic career at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he played for the men’s soccer team, wearing jersey number 25.

Landon Perry signed with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to continue his soccer career at the collegiate level in early 2026.

Known for his dedication and work ethic, Perry often credited his coaches for guiding him and shaping his skills on the pitch.

The main reason I really wanted to join Gulf Coast was the hard work and the environment,” he said during his signing.

“I trust the coaches as much as they trust me, and I’m ready for all the hard work ahead.”

While Perry had just begun his collegiate journey, his impact on D’Iberville soccer and the local community will be remembered.

He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, sportsmanship, and a love for the game that inspired teammates and fans alike.

In addition to being an amazing athlete, Landon Perry was a great son to his parents, Amber and Joshua Perry, and a loving brother to his younger brother.

While his parents, Joshua and Amber, haven’t released any details regarding the untimely death of their beloved son, Landon Perry, they often share his pictures on social media, expressing their love and pride.

Landon Perry also leaves behind his grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and the entire family. His family will soon provide details about his funeral and memorial services.
