During the recent matchup between Marshall County and McCracken County, the game itself was overshadowed by disturbing incidents of racist and hate‑filled remarks directed at McCracken players.
The most egregious comments targeted star player Miles, with grown adults reportedly calling him a “half breed monkey.”
Such behavior not only marred the spirit of competition but also drew sharp condemnation for its cruelty and immaturity.
The consequences of this incident extend beyond the court, raising serious concerns about community values, accountability, and the example being set for younger generations.

McCracken Star Miles Targeted With Racist Slurs!
Lacey Nicole, a self‑described die‑hard Tilghman fan with no direct stake in the game, took to Facebook to voice her outrage.
In her post, she emphasized that Marshall County should be ashamed, stressing that Miles’s talent and humility make him one of the region’s best players.
She condemned the racist remarks as “pathetic‘ and “absurd, “urging adults to “do better.”
Nicole concluded her post on a supportive note, congratulating McCracken on their win, saying:
Congratulations McCracken on the win! Was such a fun game to watch. Miles, you played a GREAT game & thank you for always making time for E! We will always be in the stands cheering yall on during off nights from our PT games!
Nicole’s post sparked strong reactions from the community, with commenters sharing their points of view and frustrations.
One person highlighted systemic issues, saying,
“Marshall co is a complete shit show – the superintendent is a joke! Political favoritism at its finest. Sorry ass AD does as he pleases like most of the staff. Including the minors. The not guilty verdict should let all surrounding counties know and understand MARSHAL CO is a joke ! Certain families do as they please and continue to send the orange and blue down the sewer! Pedo , money laundering poop show at its finest! The racism should have been handled years ago! It’s a disgrace to the former superintendents who were class acts. Ask Bildo about his son and hiding the drug dealing son who killed a man with his heroin! Ask him and authorities how that was swept under the rug in feb 2026 as most everything!!! TOTAL TRASH is what’s become of this town!
Another shared their perspective from personal experience, stating,
“As someone who grew up in Livingston county, I could never stand Marshall county. They were always super racist and such bullies.”
Others responded with moral and spiritual reflections, highlighting their faith, saying,
“Sick and absolutely disgusting 🤮… God sees color. He created it… we are all God’s kids made in His image.”
The incident in Marshall County underlines how racism and hate speech can poison the spirit of competition.
These kinds of behaviors, when displayed openly in such public settings, not only humiliate the individuals targeted but also erode the integrity of the entire community.
