Margie Ngle Barnes, 62, opened up about the painful reality of her marriage, describing years of lies, manipulation, and emotional abuse that left her feeling lost and diminished.

She recounted incidents of neglect, humiliation, and even physical danger, including moments when her husband threw objects at her or put a pillow over her face.

Despite investing her retirement savings into concerts, basketball games, restaurants, and caring for his children, she was constantly blamed and belittled.

The consequences of this toxic relationship were devastating; she lost her sense of self and endured ridicule for her age and appearance.

She was left carrying the weight of misplaced guilt while her husband pursued younger women and indulged in addictions.

Additionally, she described how her husband struggled with porn addiction, constantly lusting after younger women.

A Decade of Manipulation: Margie Barnes Speaks Out on Love, Loss, and Betrayal

Barnes chose Facebook as the platform to share her truth, posting a raw and detailed narrative of her experiences.

In her post, she focused on the years of emotional manipulation, the lack of compassion, and the way her husband twisted narratives to make her appear “crazy” in the eyes of others.

She highlighted his addictions, his reliance on conspiracy theories, and his self-proclaimed identity as a “God and king,” all of which compounded the breakdown of their relationship.

Alongside this, she recited his emotional manipulation, flirtations with other women, and the way he turned every problem back on her.

On the other hand, she also explained that her husband’s oldest son hasn’t spoken to him in over 8 years because of how he treated her and because of his overall behavior.

Her words carried both pain and clarity, as she admitted the toll it took on her while also warning others about the destructive patterns she endured.

The reactions to Barnes’ post were filled with empathy, outrage, and support.

Friends and followers shared their point of view, highlighting their compassion and anger, saying,

Bless your sweet heart, Margie. No one should have to suffer like that. I know this has been hard for you and I’m glad that you’re away from that and safe.

Others expressed anger at her husband’s behavior, saying,

Margie I’m so sorry that piece of 💩 treated you that way! And putting his hands on you😡. Definitely not a man…. I’d throw his shit in the trash if he doesn’t come get it by a certain date 🤷‍♀️. Love you❤️.

Some pointed directly to the pattern of abuse, saying,

That’s because he’s a NARCISSIST!!!!! Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!!!! Abuse is abuse no matter how you look at it… I PRAY you are OK and far far away from him!!!!! Sending you love and hugs!!!

Margie Barnes endured years of emotional, psychological, financial, and physical abuse that stripped away her sense of self.

She stayed silent through it all, carrying the pain alone while being constantly blamed for everything.

Now she spoke, breaking her silence after years of enduring manipulation, humiliation, and abuse.
