The Greenwood County Coroner’s Office is investigating a homicide after a 17-year-old Zaden Goodman was shot and killed over the weekend.

Zaden was taken to Self Regional Healthcare, but passed away at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities have not released any information about a possible suspect at this time and state that the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting can make an online report or give CrimeStoppers a call at 888-CRIME-SC.

Zaden was the victim of an unthinkable and STUPID act of violence, the kind that we have unfortunately become accustomed to here in Greenwood. Unless we get the violence under control, Greenwood will forever be unfit to raise a family in. This is Sad, but true.
