Coleman Beck, a standout football athlete from Skybridge High School, has tragically passed away.

At 5’11” and 180 pounds, Coleman developed into a physically capable and well-rounded player, excelling in multiple positions on the football field.

Originally more naturally suited to safety or outside linebacker, he spent his senior year playing cornerback at the request of his coach, John Lehman.

Despite the challenge, he adapted quickly, earning an honorable mention in Region 4 and showing his speed, intelligence, and commitment to the team.

His 4.5-second 40-yard dash, combined with his bench press of 285 pounds and a squat of 425 pounds, reflected a balance of strength and agility that made him an asset in both pass coverage and tackling situations.

Coleman maintained a 3.9 GPA and earned a place on the Academic All-Region Team.

In addition to football, Coleman was a competitive track athlete. He competed in varsity track for three years, and prior to COVID-19 disrupting the season, he participated in a state track invitational in St. George, finishing ninth in the 100-meter dash.
