Travis Piazza, a former Dirt Bike Racer, took to Facebook to post a video in response to claims made by his former partner about his dog, Blue.

In his post, Travis insisted that the video circulating was not the full story, alleging that his “BM” had been abusive to the dog during the few days she had him.

He explained that she ignored his son’s instructions on how to correct the dog properly and then allowed a highly aggressive child to handle him, which led Blue to defend himself.

Travis emphasized that anyone who knows Blue understands he is “a big sweetheart and a lover.”

Additionally, he accused her of deliberately leaving out parts of the footage to misrepresent the situation.

Community’s Empathy and Proactive Support for Travis and Blue!

In the comments under his post, Travis expanded on his concerns, stating that his former partner was “telling half a story and only showing small clips of the video.”

He criticized her for putting a training collar on Blue when it wasn’t appropriate.

Further, he expressed frustration that animal control had taken custody of the dog.

Travis revealed that Blue was being held for ten days, saying:

I wish I could get him back immediately but animal control is holding him for 10 days and is charging me all 10 days…

He mentioned that he was actively searching for resources to help cover the costs, but admitted he was “drawing a short straw.”

His focus was on defending Blue’s character, clarifying the circumstances of the incident, and highlighting what he saw as unfair treatment both toward his dog and himself.

Community members quickly shared their points of view, highlighting their own observations from the video.

One commenter said,

I don’t like aggressive dogs at all so I say this with full truth on my opinion, i have to say he was already uncomfortable in the first place in any common sense person will know and see the red flags in that situation with the first kid. He was perfectly fine. The first kid knew what he was doing second kid made him nervous and you could tell and he was all around uncomfortable. Mom should’ve recalled or just stopped the whole training process whatever they were doing in the video definitely will say it wasn’t the dog’s fault in this one it wasn’t anyone’s fault really but the adult who was there recording should’ve seen how uncomfortable the dog was and stopped the whole thing. it’s very disappointing and sad that she’s blaming the dog in this situation when it wasn’t the dog’s fault.

Another person shared their perspective, saying,

The dogs ears being back and the kid commanding in an aggressive more dominant tone almost like a growl voice was making the dog anxious. You can tell he was getting triggered. He did so well with commands with the first kid because the first kid was calm and confident with him. Our dogs pick up n can mirror our energy back. That dog is not aggressive he was doing fine until the second boy. You can see the dogs body language change

These reactions highlighted strong community support for Travis’s defense of Blue.

Many voiced that the dog’s behavior was a response to stress rather than aggression.

Alongside defending Blue, many community members also shared practical suggestions to support Travis.

Several pointed out the financial burden of animal control holding fees and asked him directly,

“What if you make a GoFundMe or something?”

Many are urging Travis not to let Blue go to “anyone like them,” and are encouraging him to reclaim his dog.
