Matt and Donna Webb, the parents of Davis Webb, provided the foundation for his success on and off the field.

Davis Matthew Webb, born on January 22, 1995, has carved out a remarkable path in football as both a player and a coach.

Webb began his college career at Texas Tech University, where he quickly made a name for himself as a freshman quarterback.

In his debut season, he passed for over 400 yards in multiple games, breaking school and Big 12 Conference freshman passing records.

Webb’s standout performance in the 2013 Holiday Bowl, throwing four touchdowns against Arizona State, earned him MVP honors and solidified his reputation as a rising star in college football.

Despite facing injuries and competition from fellow quarterbacks, Webb continued to showcase his talent and leadership on the field.

He transferred to the University of California, Berkeley, for his final college season, where he set multiple school records and earned accolades, including the Reese’s Senior Bowl MVP award.

The New York Giants selected Webb in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft, marking the start of his professional playing career.

Over seven seasons, he played for the Giants, New York Jets, and Buffalo Bills, culminating in a transition to coaching.

In 2026, Webb joined the Denver Broncos as their quarterbacks coach and was later promoted to offensive pass game coordinator, merging his on-field expertise with a growing coaching acumen.

Davis Webb’s Parents Played a Crucial Role in Developing His Football Talent

Davis Webb’s drive, work ethic, and deep understanding of football are rooted in the influence of his parents, Matt and Donna Webb.

Matt Webb, Davis’s father, is a legendary Texas high school football and baseball coach with over 35 years of experience.

He coached at several prominent Texas schools, including Lancaster, Keller, Prosper, and Grapevine, earning multiple District Coach of the Year honors and even being named Fort Worth Star-Telegram Coach of the Year in 2001.

Beyond his accolades, Matt instilled in Davis a rigorous approach to sports and life.

Davis credits his father for teaching him resilience and the importance of preparation, recalling how he would study his father’s team plays as a child and later maintained detailed game plan files throughout his own playing career.

Matt’s guidance profoundly shaped Davis’s transition from player to coach.

Donna Webb, Davis’s mother, is an accomplished all-American professional tennis player.

Her competitive spirit and athletic excellence created a family culture centered on discipline, determination, and sportsmanship.

Davis has described his mother as “the toughest person I know,” emphasizing how her resilience and drive inspired his own approach to challenges both on and off the field.
