Jalynn West accuses Coshocton School of allowing bullying when her little brother, Kendall, was left alone to play in the Dodgeball Tournament.
However, the school denies the incident, and administrators claimed he was on a normal team and didn’t play alone.
The school playground is meant for laughter and fun, but for some, it can be the loneliest place.
One of the most common and painful forms of bullying isn’t always a push or a name-calling out loud, but sometimes it’s the quiet, cruel act of being left out.
It happens when a group or team decides to ignore one person. They form their own little circle, making it clear that one individual is not welcome.
Being forced to play alone can make a child feel invisible, sad, and confused. It hurts their confidence and can make them dread recess or team activities.
Remember, everyone deserves a friend to play with.

Coshocton School Accused of Allowing Bullying During Dodgeball Game
Jalynn West says her little brother, Kendall, was distraught after the school event.
She initially thought he was the last player standing on his team, but after speaking with other students, she learned the truth.
According to West and other witnesses, Kendall was left to compete alone against an entire team. One of Kendall’s friends told her that his team betrayed him.
While other students tried to help him, staff members supervising the game allegedly did not allow anyone to join him and stood by without intervening.
Photos appear to show the boy alone on his side of the gym.
West says the incident has shaken her entire family. She never personally experienced bullying at CHS and stood up for classmates who weren’t treated fairly.
just a follow up…. NOT A WORD FROM THAT SCHOOL OR STAFF. My family and I have called, emailed and texted. we are getting zero help or response. absolutely ridiculous, unprofessional and i’m just outraged. conveniently, we are now on break but you will continue to hear from me
messed with the wrong little boy and sure as hell messed with the wrong big sister.
When the family contacted the school, they said administrators denied the incident, claiming Kendall was on a normal team and never played alone.
However, West calls this response unacceptable. She vows to continue pushing for the school to acknowledge the incident and take responsibility.
She thanked everyone who had reached out, shared her posts, and even commented on her posts, sharing their stories.
You don’t let a child be isolated and embarrassed in front of an entire gym, then pretend it didn’t happen. Coshocton City Schools needs to acknowledge this and take responsibility for the environment they’ve allowed. Children deserve better. My little brother deserves better. And this community deserves honesty.
I’m not stopping until there is justice for him and for every kid who has been ignored or pushed out because of bullying.
