The incident was brought to public attention when Lorenzo shared a post on Facebook addressing what he believed really happened.

In his post, Lorenzo accused the Berkeley High coach of backing out after realizing he was “in over his head,” dismissing the claims of disrespect and poor character as excuses.

He focused on what he saw as hypocrisy, stating that while the accusations targeted his team, the opposing JV coaches were allegedly the ones acting aggressively and trying to fight during the game.

Furthermore, Lorenzo emphasized that both teams’ players engaged in trash talk leading up to the matchup.

He concluded his post by expressing anger over what he described as “sucka” behavior, claiming it ultimately helped get his coach fired.

The reactions to Lorenzo’s post were mixed, with people sharing their perspectives in the comments.

Some urged him to reconsider his approach, highlighting respect and unity, saying:

Don’t do this Black man. The Black man is a good dude. I’m not sure what his experience was, but dont blame him for the move SHC did with Coach.
