Tim Kintz, president and founder of the Kintz Group, tragically died from a cardiac arrest on November 30, 2026, while celebrating Thanksgiving with his family, despite the efforts of first responders.
His sister, Robyne Kintz, shared the devastating news in an emotional Facebook post that has since been shared thousands of times:
“My heart is broken! I’ve spent the last couple of hours praying heavy and hard!! … God decided to take my younger brother to heaven! Tim was with his best friend, our Mom, celebrating Thanksgiving… We were FaceTiming and Tim fell into cardiac arrest! … I was on the phone when EMS were trying to revive him for 45 minutes… God said, ‘I have you sweet brother! Come rest with me!”
Via FacebookShe described Tim as “a warrior, the best father, husband, brother, son, uncle… an inspiration to all,” a generous soul, an incredible cook, a passionate leader in the auto industry, and a published author who always pushed those around him to become better versions of themselves.
Tim, who lived in Highland Village, Texas, with his wife Kristi and their two children, Maddyn and Cooper, was the kind of dad who never missed a game, a pitching lesson, or a volleyball tournament.
The official statement from the Kintz Group captured this perfectly:
“Tim Kintz was, first and foremost, a dedicated father and husband… Nothing meant more to Tim than being there for his family. Being a dad wasn’t just part of his life — it was the heart of everything he did.”
Via FacebookHe is survived by his wife, Kristi Speeg Kintz, daughter Maddyn, son Cooper, his mother, sister Robyne, and a large extended family who adored him.
Born in Wentzville, Missouri, Tim graduated from Francis Howell High School in 1986.
He earned a baseball scholarship to Scottsdale Community College (class of 1989) before transferring to California Baptist University, where he continued playing baseball and graduated with a business degree in 1990.
His professional journey in the automotive world was nothing short of remarkable.
After completing dealer-training programs, including the National Automotive Dealers Academy in overall dealership operations (2000), Tim spent 13 years as a highly respected trainer at Joe Verde Sales & Management Training in San Juan Capistrano, California.
In 2014, he launched the Kintz Group in Austin, Texas, quickly building it into one of the most influential sales and leadership training companies in the industry.
Many people, including colleagues, clients, and friends, have expressed their deep sorrow
Longtime college roommate Rodney Eldridge wrote,
“Damn. You just never know… My college roomy Tim Kintz has passed away tonight… Absolutely can’t believe this heartbreaking news.”
Via FacebookTere Herrera, whose sons Ivan and Daniel considered Tim a second father, shared a tearful tribute in both English and Spanish, thanking him for the love and mentorship he poured into her children over the past six years.
Gurp Samra, who trained under Tim with the Titanium Ford Sales team, called him a “legend” whose “wisdom, energy, and passion… will live on in every deal, every interaction, and every salesperson you inspired.”
The Kintz Group’s moving statement closed with a promise that speaks volumes about Tim’s impact:
“We intend to continue building the empire he began — with the same fire, heart, and purpose Tim carried every day.”
Via FacebookAt only 57 years old, Tim Kintz was taken far too soon.
Yet anyone who ever shook his hand, attended one of his electrifying training sessions, or watched him light up when talking about Kristi, Maddyn, and Cooper knows exactly what he would say right now: keep pushing, keep growing, keep loving the people who matter most.
Rest in peace, Tim. The automotive industry, and the countless lives you touched, will never be the same.
Our deepest condolences go out to Kristi, Maddyn, Cooper, Robyne, and the entire Kintz family during this unimaginable time.
