Criscilla Anderson has died at the age of 45 after a valiant and years-long battle with cancer, leaving her ex-husband Coffey Anderson, family, friends, and a global community of supporters in profound grief.
Her death became public through a deeply emotional message she wrote before passing, which her team shared on social media.
In the heartfelt farewell, Criscilla told her followers that she had “finally slipped into the arms of Jesus — peacefully and surrounded by love,” encouraging them not to remain in sorrow but to remember the depth of her fight and her love.
“I fought hard and I loved deeply,” she wrote. “I am not gone… I’m Home.”
InstagramIn the note, Criscilla spoke tenderly to her four children, assuring them that her presence would remain in moments of warmth, beauty, and familiarity.
“My babies… I am watching over you. When a moment feels warm, familiar, or too beautiful to be a coincidence — that’s me. I’m still mothering you. I’m still yours.”
InstagramShe also expressed gratitude for her circle of women, her family, and her longtime photographer and friend Lindsey, who stood by her side until the very end.
Lindsey later shared her own emotional tribute, calling it “the greatest honor” of her life to accompany Criscilla through the final stages of her journey.
Born Criscilla Crossland, she built an extraordinary career as a dancer and choreographer, performing alongside global superstars such as Britney Spears, Snoop Dogg, and Rihanna.
Her work extended to the sports world as well, where she collaborated with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and appeared on Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making The Team in 2026.
Criscilla married country singer Coffey Anderson in 2009. The couple welcomed four children and later starred in the 2026 Netflix reality series Country Ever After, which documented their family life and Criscilla’s early cancer journey.
Though they divorced in 2026, they remained united in co-parenting their children.
Doctors first diagnosed Criscilla with colorectal cancer in 2018. After a brief remission, the illness returned as advanced Stage 4 cancer, forcing her into a long and painful fight.
Despite her challenges, she continued dancing and shared her recovery efforts, faith-filled reflections, and family moments with her online community.
Just two weeks before her death, her team revealed she had been hospitalized due to cancerous fluid surrounding her heart and symptoms of a possible stroke.
Subsequent testing showed that the cancer had spread to her brain, marking a devastating turn in her health.
Shortly after her death, her ex-husband Coffey Anderson released a touching statement honoring the mother of his children.
He remembered Criscilla as a woman who “defined strength” and fought harder than “any other person on the planet.”
“We miss you already. Our hearts are shattered. Our minds are jumbled. Our lives will never be the same,” he said, speaking of the silence left in their home without her presence.
He added that she could now dance freely “on the beach in heaven” without pain, treatments, or physical limitations.
He also shared one of Criscilla’s final symbolic messages:
“If you see a butterfly, that will be me. If you miss me, a butterfly will show up.”
InstagramHer community will remember her as a fighter, a nurturer, a woman of deep spirituality, and a light that refused to dim — even in the darkest moments of her battle.
