Arapahoe High School basketball player Trenton Roskop passed away, leaving everyone devastated.
Trenton Roskop was a student athlete from Arapahoe, Nebraska, who built a strong presence in high school sports during his time at Arapahoe High School.
As a member of the varsity basketball team, he played as both a shooting guard and point guard, which allowed him to contribute in several areas of the game.
His senior season included a series of highlights against teams such as Alma, Cambridge, and St. Patrick’s, where he showed his ability to move the ball and create plays for teammates.
Off the basketball court, he has also appeared in football highlights, including a memorable fifty-two-yard touchdown pass against Hi Line during the 2026 season.

The sources confirmed that student-athlete Trenton Roskop took his last breath in March 2026. The cause of death has not been revealed yet.
Kalin Koch, a head wrestling coach and head football coach at Twin River Public Schools, took to his Facebook handle to announce the news.
Trenton, I don’t know what else to say except I love you buddy and will miss you dearly! My heart is broken just like so many others wondering “why!?”I’ve been trying to wrap my head around it and make sense of it but probably won’t be able to for a long time. I caught myself looking at the sky & sunset tonight out my window. Realization began to set in that this is real no matter how much I tried to deny it. Kalin KochTJ Vacura, a regional EHS Manager at CHS Inc also mourned the tragic loss.
Trenton, I have nothing else to say except I love you, buddy. Forever. What I would give to tell you to stop taking selfies on my phone during basketball, or you calling me fat boy one more time. Rock Chalk.

Our Entire Family is Heartbroken today with so much hurt where there are no words to describe what the Roskop Family is going through. When your children all grow up together you become extended family through every event and turn in their lives. Life is such a fragile thing that can be gone in an instant.
