The New Jersey community is in deep mourning following the tragic loss of Allyson Legora, a beloved 21-year-old known as “Ally,” who lost her life in an ATV accident over the weekend in Rockaway.

Her sudden passing has left a huge pain in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone who knew her. Ally was more than just a name.

She was a light that brightened every room she entered. Her warmth, kindness, and dedication touched so many lives.

Allyson was the cherished daughter of Casey Legora and Jodi Legora, residents of Jefferson, New Jersey.

Casey, her father, is a former coach for Rise as One, a youth basketball program.

He was known as “Coach Casey” to many. Ally grew up in a supportive family that encouraged her passions. She had a special love for horses.

Ally enjoyed riding them and embraced a cowgirl spirit. Her family even owns horses, which brought her so much joy.

From a young age, Ally showed a talent for sports. She attended Jefferson Township High School.

There, she played on the girls’ varsity basketball team from 2026 to 2026. She excelled as a shooting guard.

Her coaches and teammates remember her as a hard worker. She was tough on the court but always respectful.

Ally was a true team player. She did whatever was asked of her without complaint.

After high school, Ally continued her education at Montclair State University. She pursued an associate’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies.

She was on track to graduate in 2026. Her studies showed her caring nature. Ally wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, especially children.

In her professional life, Ally was already giving back. She worked as a before-and-after-school teacher at the Jefferson Childcare and Education Center since May 2026.

She also coached basketball there. Ally extended her coaching skills to Pope John as an assistant coach.

Her enthusiasm inspired young athletes. She loved helping kids grow, both on and off the court.

Pete Torres, a former teammate and friend of Casey’s, also remembered Ally fondly. He had known her since she was five years old. She used to come to their softball games.

Later, it was special to see her coach at Pope John. Pete said his team was devastated. He encouraged donations to help the family.

Lynn Anne, a coworker at the aftercare program, shared her grief, too. She described Ally as an awesome person to work with and a great friend. Going to work won’t be the same without her. Lynn said Ally would be deeply missed.

Even Ron and Sons Towing joined in support. Through their JusticeForDJ Fund, they donated to the GoFundMe. They honored Ally as another life taken too soon. They hoped to turn heartbreak into purpose.

To help the family during this tough time, Tina Fedo organized a GoFundMe campaign. The goal is $80,000. As of now, it has raised over $61,000 from more than 700 donors.

The page describes Ally as someone who deeply touched hearts. It asks for any support to ease the family’s burden. Donations, big or small, mean the world.

Words of encouragement accompany many contributions, likethose from Vinny and Sharon Saparito. They expressed deep sorrow and love for the family.

Ally’s legacy lives on in the kindness she showed others. She was humble and empathetic. At Montclair State, peers and faculty recall her positive energy.

She made people feel valued. Her humility built strong bonds. Even in everyday moments, Ally brought joy.

This loss reminds us how fragile life can be. Ally was taken far too soon. Yet, her spirit endures in the memories she created.

The community rallies around Casey, Jodi, and the rest of the family. They offer prayers, support, and shared stories. In honoring Ally, they keep her light shining.

Rest in peace, Allyson Legora. You will never be forgotten.
