Jace Hasskew, a dedicated American motorcycle racer from Ohio and a former U.S. Army paratrooper, tragically passed away in December 2026, at the age of 30.

His family has chosen to keep the circumstances of his passing private, and no cause of death has been released.

Jace Hasskew Called The Mid‑Ohio Sports Car Course His Home Track!

Jace Hasskew was a dedicated U.S. Army paratrooper and a passionate motorcycle racer.

He served almost five years in the U.S. Army, where he reached the rank of Sergeant. His time in the military taught him discipline, focus, and leadership.

After leaving the Army, he returned to the sport he loved since childhood, motorcycle racing.

He started riding at eight years old and later competed in regional events and championships across the Midwest and in select rounds of the MotoAmerica Twins Cup.

Ohio-based rider, Jace ook part in several motorcycle‑racing groups, and he considered Mid‑Ohio Sports Car Course his home track.

In the last few years, he also tried racing in MotoAmerica, riding a Yamaha YZF‑R7 in a few rounds of the SC‑Project Twins Cup.

He was known for his strong performances at Mid‑Ohio, his home track, and for his ability to adapt quickly to different racing conditions.

Beyond racing, he was a mentor and often helped or coached younger riders, including fellow Ohio racer Ian Fraley.

People who knew him say he was a hardworking racer with a calm, steady personality, shaped by both his service and his years on the track.

One of his sponsors, Robert Lackey of Bison Leathers, said Jace was one of the most positive people in the paddock.

Jace Hasskew’s passing has deeply affected the racing community and the veterans who served alongside him.

Fellow soldiers from the 82nd Airborne remembered him as a brother, while expressing their heartfelt sorrow over Jace’s passing, writing:

Jace Hasskew isn’t just a memory from my time in the 82nd Airborne he’s stitched into my heart and into the man I became there. We were roommates sharing tight quarters, early mornings, and long nights where exhaustion and laughter blended together. We were friends who leaned on each other when the days were heavy and the expectations were higher than most people will ever understand. We were brothers in every sense of the word, forged by shared struggle, sweat, and sacrifice, bound by something deeper than words can fully explain….I love you always brother, keep us all safe from up there

Likewise, another fellow expressed his sorrow and wrote:

My guy…. I wish we could have talked more about whatever was going on. I’m so sorry.

Although he passed away, his contribution in the military for the country and his dedication to motorcycle racing will always be remembered.
