2019 Track Champion Jamie Garner Passed Away, Leaving Behind a Legacy of Mentorship and Racing Excellence!

Longtime TPS Racer Jamie Garner sadly passed away in November 2026, after dedicating more than a decade to the sport he loved.

Although the cause of his death has not been disclosed, it has left a deep void in the racing community and among all who knew him.

Jamie Garner Was A Community’s Favorite Pro Sedan Driver!

Jamie Garner was a longtime TPS racer and beloved Texas racer remembered as car #33.

He competed at Longhorn Speedway in Austin and Highway 16 in San Antonio, where fans admired his talent.

Starting out on asphalt before moving to dirt tracks later in his career, Jamie’s passion for racing inspired others to join sports compacts.

Friends recall his love for trackside BBQ, his commitment to the sport, and his constant smiles, honoring him as a true patriot for racing.

He was known for being funny, kind, and a great driver who made racing enjoyable for everyone around him.

In 2006, Jamie Garner faced serious health challenges after undergoing surgery on May 8.

Just ten days later, on May 18, he was rushed to the hospital after losing five units of blood.

Though released and recovering at home, doctors advised that he would be unable to race over Memorial weekend and likely not return to work for about four weeks.

Despite the scare, Jamie’s strength and the support of his racing community carried him forward.

Jamie’s loss is deeply felt by his family, teammates, friends, and all who admired him.

One of his friends shared a heartfelt tribute to Jamie, saying:

RIP Jamie
I was saddened to hear that my old friend Jamie Garner passed away yesterday. I was proud to be friends for 40 years, we raced a lot of laps together and I will miss him.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Jamie Garner’s family, friends, and well-wishers.
